Tournament 2011 on-line
To all Managers, Coaches and Secretary's Thank you to all the teams who participated in the MK Wanderers 6-a-side tournament over the weekend. The standard of football over both days of competition was very high and I hope you enjoyed playing against new opposition to the usual teams that you compete against week in and week out during the regular season. I'm pleased to report that, other than a few minor exceptions, the behaviour of players, parents and team officials was first class and we had very few complaints to our stewards or our organising committee so I'd like to congratulate all the participating teams on their discipline, conduct and respect. The age group Cup Winners were: U9 Brook End Colts U10 Soccer Stars FC U11 Headstone Manor U12 Hinckley United U13 Milton Keynes City U14 Bletchley Shamrocks U15 Shefford Saints U17 Garston Boys Ladies Launton Ladies We have had some lost property collected so if anyone is missing any personal property please get in touch. As always, we would welcome any feedback from you about our tournament, both good and not so good. Those of you who have been coming to MK Wanderers for many years will know it is this constructive comment that enables us to improve the event for the benefit of all concerned so please feel free to drop me a line. Finally, the date for next years tournament is already booked. It will be the 9th and 10th June 2012 so please note it in your diaries and I will send a personal invitation to all of this years participants in the New Year. Have a great summer and see you all next June. Yours in Sport Andy Manners Tournament Organiser MK Wanderers FC

Just a note to say many thanks for the tournament on Saturday, I thought the freestyler was a great idea and as usual the organisation was great.
Many thanks.
Kind regards
Graham MK Athletic. ___________________________________________
Andy,
Over 8 years of taking teams to tournaments, you deserve a medal as the only tournament we have ever attended that started the majority of matches on time. This was due to the referees being pitch side ready to start the next game. Best wishes
Andrew Smith, Manager Long Crendon Youth FC ___________________________________________ Hi Andy, Just a quick note to say thank you for an excellent day yesterday, all three of our teams and their parents thoroughly enjoyed the day and thankfully we didn't need the umbrellas until presentation at the end! Please pass on our thanks and congratulations on a great tournament to your committee and all involved. Hope to be there again next year! Kind regards, Simon & Lisa (Brook End Colts Panthers U12s & U14s)

Great tournament! well done to you all at mk wanderers and the referees. alot of credit for getting games played ahead of schedule.some tournaments deliberately do not do this to sell more hotdogs. but you guys put the kids first.well done!! once again. yet in another area,it looks as if the respect campaign is certainly working.
Thanks Andy Chasewell Park

MK Dons Free Prize Draw MK Wanderers would like to say a big thank you to the MK Dons Football Education and Sports Trust for attending the tournament and for putting on the coaching session that we held throughout the weekend. We know that many players joined in the activities and enjoyed the half hour slots built into the programme. Every player was invited to enter a Free Prize Draw for an MK Dons Training Top and Chris McGuane from the MK Dons Sports Trust has now conducted the draw and the winner is: Jake Brooker, MK Wanderers Under 9's. Jake and a parent will be given free tickets to an MK Dons home fixture early in the new season where he will be presented with his prize on the pitch at Stadium:mk. Congratulations Jake ________________________________________________ |

MK Wanderers held their summer 6-a-side youth tournament on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd June 2007 and it proved a great success with over 150 teams entered and 1000 players from ages 7 to 17 taking part over the two day festival of football.

Most welcome visitors were from a football club in Poland called Mazur Kazcew who took part in the Under 12 competition and got through to the semi final stage. The pictures show action from the tournament and the Under 12 squads from both MK Wanderers and Mazur Kaczew together.

Our U16's won the MK Wanderers Cup in our tournament on the 3rd June. The whole squad are pictured along with guest players, Robbie Burns, James Hilsden and goalkeeper Matt Cook.

Thank you to all the teams who participated in the MK Wanderers 6-a-side tournament over the weekend. Whilst the weather was bearable on Saturday I would like to pay particular thanks to all the teams present on Sunday for their patience and understanding during a very difficult first few hours. Our decision to delay the start of the tournament ultimately proved to be the correct one and I am sure all the players were grateful that the event carried on, when, at 9.00 am, cancellation was a serious option for all of us. I appreciate all the support and encouragement I had from managers, coaches and spectators that I spoke to during a very pleasant and sunny afternoon.
Thank You.
The standard of football over both days of competition was very high and I hope you enjoyed playing against new opposition to the usual teams that you compete against week in and week out during the regular season. We had the lowest number of cautions and dismissals for many years so all clubs are to be congratulated on their discipline, conduct and respect.

Hi Andy, Thanks for what proved to be another great tournament despite the weather, organised by you and your club, rest assured we will be back again next year. Alan (Aylesbury Town U/12's)
_______________________ Hi Andy
yes a good tournament. I must admit I was a doubting Thomas until the rain stopped and thinking just call it off and lets go home and get dry. The pitches drained remarkably well, good refereeing and some good football. The idea of the plate is spot on giving those extra games and another bite of a the cherry. Thank you again for a great tournament
Yours in sport Nick Kelk Billing United ______________________ Andy I thought the tournament was very well run under difficult circumstances. Thanks for a good day and hopefully we'll be back next year. Graham MK Athletic ______________________ Hi Andy
On behalf of Leighton Town U12 we would like to thank you for organising the tournament. We were unfortunate with the weather early on but there was plenty of communication explaining what was happening and the decision was justified in delaying the start time.
This was the first time we have attended your tournament so difficult to comment on comparing venues.
However, I thought Leon was a good venue with plenty of space and, I would say, plenty of parking.
My team definitely enjoyed the event and would have no hesitation in returning next year.
Regards
David Manager Leighton Town U12B
