Hercules Lions V MK Wanderers Kestrals

Game started and Wanderers came out strong and played some very good passing football. Lions came on the attack, but the defence of Harry and Kia were strong and defended well, corner kicked kicked out of trouble by Harry.

Good defending again by Harry, passed the ball up field to Shaun, good ball from Shaun fell to Enoch, Goal to Enoch. 0-1
Lions came out strong after the goal and Alex made a great save.
Subs JD off Matt on.
Some good attacking football by the Lions but the Wanderers defend really well.

Wanderers play some good passing football, goal by Matt, 0-2.
Subs Shrey off Chilonga on.
Wanderers play some good attacking football, Bercie, Chilonga and Matt all have shots just going wide.
Lions get the ball and take it up the field, good save by Alex.

More attacking football by Wanderers ball falls to Jack, Jack scores 0-5.
Subs Matt off Enoch on.
Wanderers playing some fantastic passing football, a few attempts on goal but they just went wide, good passing football and Toby scores 0-6.
Lions attack and Alex makes a fantastic double save.

Wanderers passing ball well, good attacking football, Matt scores 0-7.
Again fantastic football from the wanderers, ball falls to Matts feet, goal to Matt 0-8.

MK Wanderers Kestrals V Linslade Galaxy (Friendly)
Starting Team
Alex, Matt, Darren, Harry, Shrey, Shaun, Enoch.
Subs
Bercie, Chilonga, Jack, Toby
Wanderers started very strong, lots of goof passing football between Shrey, Shaun and Enoch, Enoch took a shot but it took a deflection and went out of play. Play continued with Galaxy pushing forward but good defending by Matt and Darren and ball went out of play. Wanderers continue to be strong and soon Harry had a shot but unfortunately Galaxy goalkeeper saved it. Wanderers played some fantastic foot ball and Enoch tried an overhead kick but it just went wide. From the goal kick wanderers won the ball and Enoch scored. 1 0.
Galaxy came out strong but the defenders did well unfortunately they gave away a free kick, but Alex made a fantastic save. More good football from Wanderers Matt headed the ball down to Shaun and Shaun passed it on to Shrey but the ball went out of play.
Sub Harry off - Bercie on. Enoch had another shot and it just went over the bar.

Play continued and Galaxy had a shot that went over the bar.

Galaxy came out strong for the second half, but Wanderers defended well, Matt won the drop kick and took the ball forward. Galaxy won the ball back and took a shot, great save by Alex. Jack got the ball and made a fantastic run but the ball went out of play. Corner taken by Matt unfortunately Galaxy defended well.

Galaxy played some good football and ended up with a corner, but the Wanderers defended well.

There was some fantastic passing football Harry to Shaun, Shaun to Enock back to Shrey who took a shot but it was saved by the goal keeper.
The ball came back to Matt who went on a run and took a shot at the goal and scored. 2 0
Play continued with Wanderers the stronger side, goal to the Wanderers scored by Matt. 3 0

Another goal scored by Matt for the Wanderers. 4 0
Sub Shrey off - Jack on
Galaxy had a good run with the ball and scored. 4 1
In the last few minutes of play Wanderers make another attack on the Galaxy goal this time Chilonga scored. 5 1

Water Eaton Blue V MK Wanderers Kestrels
Starting team
Alex, Darren, Kai, Matt, Harry, Jack and Shrey.
Water Eaton Blue started strong and we were quickly defending a corner. Wanderers defended well and the ball went towards the other end of the pitch. The ball went out of play and we were given a throw on taken well by Harry.
After the first 5 minutes Alex made a fantastic save which lead to a goal kick, Alex kicked it up the field, Matt got the ball under control and took it up field passed it to Shrey whos shot just went wide.
Sub at 15 minutes, Matt off and Shaun on. Water Eaton Blue were pushing hard and Alex made another great save. From a goal Kick the boys got the ball into the penalty area where there was a handball. Penalty for the Wanderers. Shrey took the penalty and scored for the Wanderers 0-1.
After the restart Water Eaton Blue came out strong and scored. 1-1.
Sub - Harry off and Toby on.Just before half term Water Eaton Blue scored again. 2-1.
2nd Half
Alex, Harry, Kai, Shaun, Bercie, Toby and Matt.
Water Eaton Blue came out very strong and it wasnt long before they had scored again. 4-1.
Wanderers battled on however Water Eaton were a very strong side. Alex made two great saves in quick succession. Alex kicked the ball up the field and Shaun got it to the half way line, unfortunately due to the uneven pitch it went out of play. Good throw in by Harry. Play continues and Water Eaten score again. 5-1.

Some good passing football by Wanderers Bercie to Harry, Harry back to Bercie back to Harry whos shot just went wide. Matt defended well and won the ball just before the halfway line he took the ball all the way up the other end of the pitch and took a shot, it just went just left of the goal.

Despite a fantastic effort by the Wanderers Water Eaton score again final score 6-1.

MK Wanderers Kestrels FC vs Heelands Rangers FC
After a strong warm up in the blazing sunshine, the MK Wanderers were ready for thier 10:30AM Kick off against Heelands Rangers FC starting with only 6 in the line up due to Heelands not being able to field a full team. Shrey in goal, Kai and Chillonga at the back, Harry and Shaun in midfield and Jack Baldwin as the lone striker. Subs to start with were Toby, Jack-David and Jacob.

After a quick start from MK Wanderers and within 5 minutes Heelands put the pressure on a bit forcing a great save from Shrey in goal. 7 minutes in and Harry took a long corner and between Harry, Shaun and Jack B they were boxing Heelands into their own half and applying some very good pressure to their defence. As the half went on the possesion was mostly dominated by MK Wanderers with some great passing and control of the ball, Harry seemed to be all over the pitch finding some very good space to recieve the ball.
After 18 minutes Chilonga made way for Toby with Harry dropping in defence and Toby slotting into midfield. 21 minutes in and a great free-kick from Heelands Rangers FC forced Shrey into another very good save. All in all a fantastic half!
At half-time Jack Baldwin and Shaun made way for Jack-David and Jacob, Jacob going up-front with Jack-David going into midfield with Toby. After just 2 minutes of the restart Jack-David used his pace and shooting ability, forcing a fantastic save from the Heelands Goalie. The game was very much end to end for a short period, both goalkeepers being called into action a few times with Jack-David and Toby forcing saves out of the Heelands goalkeeper.
10 Minutes into the second half and MK Wanderers get the breakthrough they deserve with Jack-David running down the left wing, loosing his boot after avoiding a challenge from the heelands defender and using his weaker, bootless left foot to shoot accross the goalkeeper and into the bottom right corner of the goal, 1-0!
After the goal it all seemed to be one way traffic with Harry forcing a save from their goalie with a free-kick and Jacob, Harry, Jack-David and Toby both finding space on the right and forcing saves from their goalkeeper. Shaun also came on for Jacob towards the end and nearly got a goal with his first touch, narrowly missing the target on the half volley! The lads were all over Heelands in the dying minutes but were very happy with Shrey when he dived high to his right to deny Heelands an equaliser in the final minute after the hit Wanderers on the counter attack. All in all a very good display from all the boys involved

Man of the Match was Harry Mason, but it was very difficult to chose between him and the other boys as everyone did so well. Well done Lads!
