A word from the sponsor:

The boys were all terrific, but I have to say, some solid saves from our goal keeper in the first half who was showing no fear. Then he comes out of goal and runs around midfield like crazy. Defense was solid, and our big guy Jamal stood firm, but man of the match Cortés (apologies if spelt incorrectly) our own little “Duracell Bunny”, was everywhere and I mean everywhere. Four times he hit the post but he just kept going. First goal took their defense apart straight down the middle, the second brilliant cross into the box, followed by a brilliant finish, top left corner.

Don’t know about the boys, but I had a great time, and Chris, I promise I’ll try and shut up next time.

Finally, I’d love to say it was the new kit that did it, but it wasn’t, they all just played really well………………………they did look smart though.

VS WOBURN LIONS AWAY 1-4

First league game of the season after a couple of good pre-season friendly s to get the lads in the mood,

we started the game well looking really strong and attacking well with Woburn also coming back at us with a couple of chances then we scored first through our new signing Ricky which was his first goal for us and a great confidence boost for him and the team.

The game continued to flow with Woburn hitting the post a couple of times ,

we responded well to there pressure and got a second goal from Ben just before half time .

Second half we come out strong and put loads of pressure on creating chance after chance which paid off as we got our third goal through Ricky now 3-0 up.

Woburn responded and got them selfs a goal which raised a few eye brows as it happened while the match was stopped and they were in the middle of a substitution, I think some people got confused especially the team as they all stopped as they thought the substitution was being done , should never of stood but to be fair to woburn they battled hard and deserved a goal for there efforts

soon after that towards the end of the game we were still pushing and after a bit of a battle in the middle Leigh popped up with a great pass to Ricky who moved with the ball cut in and finished, the best goal of the day and to complete his hatrick.

This was a great result for the boys who all played really well and all played to the max ability.
