Under 7's - 2007-08 Season
18th April 3-6 vs. Tattenhoe Tigers (H) (Friendly)

The rematch! After our league game back in September where we drew 6-6, there was bound to be goals aplenty. This game saw a debut for Jose Chambers and Oliver and Henry Ingram, all of whom excelled themselves. A special mention to Jose, who is still only 5, and who had a cracking game, very nearly scoring. The entire game was played end to end, with lots of goalscoring opportunities, but one particular player for Tigers was the difference, scoring 3 or 4 spectacular goals in quick succession. Josh Oshodi nabbed two for us, one from the penalty spot, and Alex Xu scored his second goal for the club too. A very cold and blustery evening, and the boys did well to stay the course. Well done also to the entire squad all of whom played their hearts out and improved their game no end.

MAN OF THE MATCH: ALEX XU

19th April 0-7 vs. Harrold and Carlton Tigers (H)

Another cold day, and the boys bravely battled through the elements - the Tigers camp brought a tent with them! The first quarter was end to end stuff, and there was plenty of attacking football. After some strong pressure from Wanderers, we forced a corner which ended up coming off a post. Tigers took the lead after a long run and powerful shot right at the end of the quarter. In the second quarter, Kyle tried a long shot just missing the far post. Wanderers were caught on the hop by some strong running by Tigers who converted three chances in a row. However, Wanderers passing game is improving all the time and we went close on several occasions. The third quarter had no goals in it, as both sides began to equal each other out. There were some tired legs by the end, and Tigers helped themselves to three more, although Kyle hit the post at the end. One thing is for the sure - Wanderers passing game is really bringing out the best of the squad.

MAN OF THE MATCH: LOUIS DAVEY

Match Reports Saturday 26th April 2008
MK&JD7's - Div - Gascoigne
MK Wanderers 0 Wolverton Tigermoths 4

A welcome bit of sunshine before this game, and the conditions were just right for a perfect game. Both sides started strongly , and Wanderers began their passing game well, and it looked as though they were about to take advantage when a well worked move put Tigermoths 1-0 up. Some robust tackling ensued, and Wanderers are really beginning to show some steel in the defence. Just at the death, the Wanderers defence were split and Tigermoths made it 2-0. In the second and third quarters, there was no score at all as both teams played end to end football, shots screaming wide, long passes being made as the wind got up and made throw ins pretty difficult. It was anyone's game, until, in the last quarter, Tigermoths notched up two more early on. A highly entertaining game, Wanderers showing real progress, and very unfortunate not to score today.

Man of the Match: Oliver Miller

MK&JD7's - Div - Gascoigne Under Sevens
Downs Barn Juniors 2 MK Wanderers 3

An absolutely fantastic game, acknowledged by both managers. Really end to end stuff. Downs Barn piled on the pressure early, and were much the better sde in the first 10 minutes. They went ahead with a well placed free kick, and doubled their lead when Wanderers failed to clear their lines quickly enough. In the second quarter, Wanderers began to fight back and showed some tough tackling, and also began to get their passing game together, although they still could not find a goal. In the third quarter it was Wanderers turn to pile on the pressure, and they were rewarded with a fine curling effort which found the bottom corner by Oliver Miller. Wanderers really stretch themselves out and found an equaliser after a great run and finish by Harith Nasir. 2-2! In the final quarter, it was anyone's game, and they were some tired legs out there. Luke came on after a short rest and put together a great run and pass, setting up Oliver to win the game for us in the last few seconds. Great spirit in the game and a sterling effort by all players involved.

MK&JD7's - Div - Gascoigne
MK Wanderers 5 Cranfield Colts Rovers 2

Wanderers battled away today to achieve a great result - after initially conceding an early goal the boys got their heads down, and some tough tackling form Louis Davey got the boys back into the match. Harith and Ollie were soon starting up a great passing game, and before long Wanderers were pulling away from Cranfield. Ollie Miller had a penalty saved late in the game, but he still notched up a brace for himself. Josh Oshodi scored twice ,and Harith Nasir got himself on the scoresheet too. All in all, a brave effort as Wanderers continue to progress in the Gascoigne League.

Saturday 23rd February 2008
MK&DJ7's - Div - Gascoigne
Woburn Lions Whirlwinds 10 MK Wanderers 0

This game had the lot - goals from a corner, goals from the half way line, comedy goals, all of them against the Wanderers, unfortunately! Again, the scoreline did not really indicate the closeness of the game - most of them occurring in a five minute spell! It was nice to see the Wanderers working on training ideas on the pitch, trying to pass the ball out of trouble and committing to tackles, and we broke away convincingly at times, but goal efforts were rushed in the main. The best player on the day was probably Olliver Miller, which was nice as it was on his birthday. Josh bravely returned from injury at one point, but all the players were commited to the match and never gave up. Very proud of them - special mention to Joseph Brady who has now played twice for the boys and is improving all the time.
Saturday 9th February 2008
MK&DJ7's - Div - Gascoigne
MKW 0 Toddington Rovers Lions 6

Wanderers were up against it from the start against a very strong Toddington side. However, the boys were still only trailing 1-0 into the third quarter when Toddington scored four in quick succession. Wanderers tried to break several times, but tired towards the end. The entire squad turned out on this occasion, and each played their part. Good effort, boys !
The recent IFF (Indoor Footbal Festival) was a great day for all of us, and the boys did the club credit.

Game 1: 1-1 v Newton Longville. Josh Oshodi scored a cracker before Longville deservedly brought the game level. An exciting match. Alex Xu made several decisive tackles.

Game 2: 2-0 v Great Linford Cougars. Another smash hit from Josh and a superbly taken free kick from Harith saw the game go to Wanderers. Lewis is the hero of the midfield with a great display.

Game 3: 2-0 vs Brook End Colts. Josh scores for the third game and Ollie Miller opens his account. Kyle hits the post with a speculative drive. Jake keeps a clean sheet again!

Game 4: 2-0 vs MK City Saints. A confident display from the boys, with the whole squad getting on the pitch to add an extra dimension to the play.

Game 5: 3-0 vs New City Saints. Ollie gets a hat trick! It's all change on the pitch as Alex goes in goal, Lewis goes up front and everyone else goes where they want !
MK WANDERERS RESULTS SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER 2007

15th December 3-6 vs. Newton Longville (A)
A bitterly cold day. Newton Longville looked organised and strong, and Wanderers were up against it from the start. A well taken first goal from Josh Oshodi was followed by two responses from Newton Longville, who were shooting accurately well outside the area. Jake Kirby had to be in fine form to keep Wanderers in it. However, in the third quarter, five minutes of madness saw Wanderers hit the net FIVE times to lead 6 - 3. The final quarter was stoutly defended, with Alex Xu again the hero of the back line. A great result. Goalscorers: Harith Nasir 4, Josh Oshodi 2

10th November 3-1 vs. Brook End Colts Panthers (H)
A hard fought game. Brook End Colts controlled large parts of the game, and only a superb defensive display from Alex Xu kept us in it. However, two break away goals from Oliver Miller kept the unbeaten record running! Harith Nasir added another to take his total to 10 for the season.

27th October 0-8 vs. Brackley Athletic (A)
Two hat tricks from Harith Nasir and Josh Oshodi, in a game where the Wanderers were just too strong against a brave Brackley side. Oliver Miller played a great holding game in midfield and was rewarded with two classy goals.

13th October 3-1 vs. Bletchley Colts (H)
Harith Nasir (2) and Oliver Miller got the all important early goals. Wanderers had to dig deep after the Colts got back into the game with a great strike, but finished strongly to earn a second win.

29th September 6-6 vs. Tattenhoe Tigers (A)
Harith notches up a hat trick in what was literally an end to end game. Wanderers spurned some good chances in a game they should have won. Kyle Bolam and Joshua Oshodi got their first goals for the club, as well as a spectacular 20 yard drive from Alex Xu.

15th September 2-1 vs. Scot Youth (H)
Harith Nasir and Oliver Miller get on the score sheet in a very close game which Wanderers edged out with hard work and tough tackling.
